These Fingerprints of particular Cypress trees share this in common: they are complex and they are calm.

This was not my particular aim. My aim was to see what artwork I could make that involved the trees and that involved me,in an interaction.
The works were not executed in the usual manner in which a rubbing is done or a drawing is made. The methods were combined. I was close up and literally pressing on the trees with my materials, and they remained steadfast, as is their way. The following Cypress Fingerprints resulted.
